I absolutely love the Christmas season, and I don't know about anyone else, but my weekends in December, are completely taken over by Christmas Soiree's! Blacks, reds and sparkle are my favourite trends to rock when celebrating the festive period. I thought it would be a great post idea to help peice together some great looks ready for the Christmas parties you guys may have planned! I worked out that I have a party every Saturday in December, which is a whole lot of outfits that need to planned!
BOOTS: I popped into boots yesterday, as I do pretty much everyday (eek), and headed straight to the makeup brushes section as I knew exactly what I wanted (for a change, double eek!). I had been eyeing up the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush online for a while now and finally purchased it yesterday! I am in love with the Real Techniques brushes and eventually, i want every single one! I love that the brushes are such good quality, yet are so well priced!
When purchasing the makeup brush, there was an offer on that you could get any other brush, makeup, nails, eyelash and beauty accesories for half the price! I had been after some new eyelash curlers for ages now, as I had used the same pair for some time & they were all battered and dirty, so decided to treat myself to some new ones! With a half price offer on, who can moan!
LUSH: I had heard amazing things about the Snow Fairy shower gel from Lush, and as soon as I went in and smelt it, I understood why!!! It smells absolutely gorgeous, and I didn't hesitate to buy it. It smells of candyfloss and pear drops (Gorgeous, right??!)
I have been having trouble with my skin recently, with a breakout on my chin, that I just can't shift! So whilst in Lush, I noticed their Tea Tree Toner Water, which specified that it was a spot treatment and comes to the aid of skin that has emergancies! Hello, woohoo ME!! I couldn't have asked for much more, as I knew a Lush product wouldn't be too harsh on my skin and Tea Tree is great on spots!
NEXT: I went shopping with my momma today (who has just got back from Eygpt, the lucky devil), and we went into boots to do some christmas shopping, and as I am a sucker for a Next perfume..It was destined that I was coming home with one. I picked up the scent 'Just Pink' and as soon as my mum pointed out that they had a candle in the same scent, to match..OF COURSE I picked that up aswel. I couldn't believe they had a candle to match the perfume. Match made in heaven!!
So I thought I would write a post on my current haircare routine. I haven't done one of these before, so thought i'd give it a bash and give you all a insight into what i'm using at the minute to clean, care and style my hair :)
Shampoo and Conditioner:
TRESemme 24hour Body Shampoo & Conditioner.
I don't actually stick to any certain brand of shampoo or conditioner, as I like to try different ones and see what is out there. I picked this Tresemme set up when it was on offer at the supermarket one day, and I'm loving it! As I have quite thick curly hair, I used to always opt for having my hair really thinned out at the hairdressers, as I hated my hair. Although over recent months, I have enbraced my hair and I think the more fuller and thick the better! This shampoo and conditioner leave my hair feeling volumous, shiny and with plenty of oomf! The bottles are huge and you don't need too much product, so I have a feeling these will last me a while. I think I will definitely repurchase these again.
L'Oreal Elvive Triple Resist X3
The L'oreal is a hair mask that you apply when in the shower. You leave it on for about 2-3 minutes and then wash it off. As soon as I start to shower it off, I can already feel the effects it has on my hair, as it feels softer and silkier! I use this about two times a week, once on a sunday and then mid-week. It is definitely a hair mask that I will continue to repurchase. You get quite alot of product and you don't need to apply to much to your hair, as it can make it feel and look quite greasy. A little definitely goes a long way :)
Avon Advance Techniques Morrocan Argon Oil
This is a product that I used once, and hated! It made my hair feel oily and greasy, which is just a bit fat NO NO. I shoved it on my dressing table and didn't bother with it for ages. Then about 2 weeks later, I decided to give this product the benefit of the doubt and tried it again. I was careful to avoid my roots, and concentrate on the mid-length & ends of my hair. I applied one pump of the product to my hair and ran it through the bottom half of my hair, twisting it round the ends of my hair.
After blow drying my hair, I noticed my hair felt glossier and looked well nourished! I now use it almost everytime I have had a shower, and i'm glad that I gave it another go.
Superdrug Own Dry Shampoo: Chocolate Brownie.
VO5 Ultimate Hold Hairspray.
Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray.
Avon Natural Kids Detangler.
This dry shampoo is a life saver! I picked it up on a buy one get two free offer, which I think is a bloody good bargain! I picked up 2 of the 'Chocolate Brownie' (for brunette hair) and one, 'Away with the Fairies'. I absolutely LOVE the brunette version, as it doesn't leave my hair with white roots, and it leaves my hair feeling so soft and looking like it has just been washed!
The hairspray holds my hair amazingly. You don't have to spray to much, to get maximum effects! I spray this when I have put my hair up or curled it, and my hair doesn't move an inch. It doesn't leave my hair feeling crispy and frazzled, as I have found with some other hairsprays.
I picked this sea salt spray up on a whim one day at boots. I have always loved the beachy wavy look and this spray achieves just that! I took this product on holiday with me, earlier this year and used it almost everyday. It didn't leave my hair feeling dry and brittle which was definitely a bonus!
I was after a detangler for a while, ready for when I went on holiday, as I know my hair can go quite knotty after a day at the pool & beach. I was flicking through the Avon catalogue when I saw this little gem for £1.50 (half price), and knew I had to have it. A few sprays of this on my hair, and a comb will just glide straight through! It smells of apples aswel, which is lovely ;)
Lee Stafford Heat Protection.
Lee Stafford Shine Spray.
Lee Stafford Blow Dry Faster Spray.
I picked these 3 products up on offer at boots, 3 for 2 on Lee Stafford hair products. I was in desperate need of a new heat protectent, as I won't dry/straighten/curl my hair without it.
I had recently seen a review on the Shine Spray, and picked it up with the boots offer, I spray it after I have dried and straightened/curled my hair. It leaves a lovely shine to my hair and also helps it to feel softer!
The Blow Dry Faster Spray, is one of my all time favourite products!! As my hair is so thick & curly, it can take my anytime up to an hour just to dry my hair, which is a giant pain in my ass! Since discovering this spray, that time has been cut down by about half! It is amazing and I couldn't reccommend this product enough!
I'm off out tonight with the girls for a meal, a few drinks and a boogie! I hope you all enjoy your saturday :)
I recently stumbled across an amazing website where bloggers, can create magazine like articles, to post wish lists, favourites and tutorials ect. You can choose hundreds of layouts or simply create you own (which I have done)! It is so easy to use and once you get the hang of it, you'll find youself addicted..like me ;) You can find the website here.
So this is part two of my London Shopping Haul, containing all things clothing and miscellaneous! I tried really hard not to come back with to many clothes, as I knew I wanted to purchase mainly beauty products and I couldn't go to crazy with the shopping bags. Although that logic, really didn't work!
Victoria Secrets: I am in love with Miranda Kerr & anything to do with Victoria Secrets, so it was inevitable that I was going to purchase more than enough when I visited the store. I wanted to buy absolutely everything, Aaron had to reign me in..eventually!
Selfridges: Now this may look a little odd, but basically J.R.R Tolkein used to write to his children every year at Christmas, pretending to be Father Christmas. He saved all the letters he wrote and now they are in this book. I thought it was such a lovely idea, I had to buy it!!
WHSmiths: I've been looking at Beauty books for a while now, but none have really taken my fancy, until this one! It includes bargain versions of high end make-up and tips & tricks for makeup.
Oversized white t-shirt, Topshop: £14.00
Geek t-shirt, Topshop: £18.00
Gold collar, Topshop: £10.00
That concludes my shopping for London! I had the most amazing time exploring the city & shopping of course! I am going to upload a post soon with pictures from my trip :) As ever, I love to read your comments and I always try to reply to them all :)
I recieved my November Glossybox, whilst I was in London, so as soon as I got home I rushed into the kitchen, pushed the pile of bills aside (eugh) and ripped open the packaging to this lovely box. I've been signed up to glossybox for a few months now and some of the things I have recieved have been abit..none descript..and things that I probably won't use. This month however I was very pleased with what I found inside. There were 4 sample sized products & one full sized 200ml product, which I was very impressed with!
1). AYUURI INDIAN ROSE FACE CREAM:Full Sized Product; £4.95.

I hope you're all enjoying your week so far. I'm off out with my girlfriends at weekend for my friends birthday, so I for one can't wait for the weekend to arrive! :)
I have just arrived home from an amazing 3 day break to London, with my boyfriend! I think I under estimated how much money I was going spend, not realising how crazy I was going to go on Oxford and Bond Street!
I came back home with far to many carrier bags and I can say now, It wasn't fun trying to squish them all onto the train!...So worth it through ;) Here are just a few pictures of the things I bought whilst I saw down in London. It is a collective haul of make-up, clothes and all other kinds of goodies :)
Boots: I've been eyeing this Soap & Glory Cleansing Milk up for a while in boots, and finally purchased it! I've only used it once so far, but it left my skin feeling very clean and smooth!
MAC: I've wanted to purchase one of the MAC empty eye shadow palettes for a while now, but held off until I got to London! I bought 2 palettes, each with 4 spaces, and bought two eye shadows. I picked up the shade 'Cranberry' and 'Sketch'.
Eyeshadows: £10.00 each.
Topshop: I saw this highlighter on Kayleighs blog, over at CoutureGirl, and new straight away I had to have it! It is really highly pigmented and leaves a lovely glow to your face. I know, because you need such little product, for such a nice effect, this purchase will last a while!
Aaron actually found this lipstick, and I was very impressed with his choice. It is a lovely tangerine colour!
Harrods: I have heard so many great things about the 'Origins Super Spot Remover', and as I am suffering from a slight breakout at the minute, I thought what better time to pick it up!
Origins Super Spot Remover: £12.00
So this is the first part of my London Haul, I didn't want to try and cram all the things I bought into one reallyyyy long blog post. I am splitting the haul into Beauty and skin care products, and the second part will be clothing and miscellaneous :)
I hope you enjoyed part one, and stay tuned for part two! Which will be coming very soon ;)
So i'm back from London and had the most amazing time. I spent far to much money and walked far to much! I'll write a post soon, more in detail of what I got up to and what lavly' things I bought!
For todays post, seen as it is Sunday, I thought I would upload a post of my 'Sunday Pamper Routine'..hence the title of this post! :) I very rarely work Sundays, so I like to use this day to treat myself and turn my bedroom into my very own spa!
I enjoy a long hot shower (baths really aren't my thing :/), taking the time to give my head a good massage and give my body a good buff and scrub using my Soap & Glory Pulp Friction Body Scrub ! I then slather myself in Soap & Glory Daily Smooth Body Butter to help make my skin feel and look baby soft.
In my room, I light a few candles and listen to the likes of James Morrison or Ed Sheeran on my I-Pod. Easy listening songs, as I like to call them!
I apply my Elizabeth Arden Hydration Boost Night Cream, and sit back & relax for 5-10 minutes before washing it off using cotton wool and abitta' H2O.
There's nothing I like more than having painted nails, whether it be my hands or my feets! So on a Sunday, I give my feet a good exfoliate, paint them whichever colour takes my mood that day, and coat them in my Avon Foot Works, before applying my La Senza bed socks! When I wake up my feet feel silky smooth and soft!
I think every woman (& man!!) deserves to lavish themselves once a week, or more often, in their favourite lotions and potions! I for one feel much more relaxed and soothed, after a hard week of working..or shopping ;) The candles and relaxing music definitely add more to creating a spa like experience.
I'd love to hear if you guys enjoy a pamper night, and what your favourite products to use are to help you relax!
I'm scheduling this post for when I am in London, so if you are reading this post..HEY I'M IN LONDON & IT'S FREAKIN' FANTASTIC! Yes I am acting overly enthusiastic, considering I am not actually there yet, but I have been before and I am in love with the city! So I know it will be amazing!!
I left for London on wednesday and am not due back home until Saturday..it is so strange talking as if I am already there, when I'm currently sat on my bed..at home? Anyhow..
Any reccomendations of bars, restaurants or shops (obviously!) whilst I am there, would be great!
So..to the actual point of this post!
I recently bought two of the Revlon Lip Butters, after hearing great things about them on the blogging world, and boy oh boy I was not dissappointed! I picked up the shade 'LOLLIPOP' & 'RASPBERRY PIE'.
They are so easy to apply and just glide on! They leave my lips feeling so soft and moisturised, which I love in a lipstick. The only downfall is the colour doesn't seem to stay very long, whether that is because I have only worn them when going out for a meal or drinks..and obviously with a gob full of food and swigging drinks all night, lipstick can tend to rub off..but I have brought them with me London, so I will see how they last when I am wondering around doing my thang' (in a Texan accent yes :] )
Other than that, I absolutely adore them. Lollipop is quite a deep pinky purple colour, where as Raspberry Pie is a more of a pink berry colour..obviously the name of RASPBERRY gives that away..Duh Rachael!
If you guys own any of the Lip Butters, in a different shade, I'd love to hear about them and try them out. Leave me a comment down below or message me on my twitter account @Rchi_B
So I thought I would dedicate part 2 of my 'Christmas Gift Ideas' to the men in our lives! I still can't believe Christmas is not far from reach and for those of you who don't know..THE COCA COLA ADVERT IS ON! It was aired during the adverts of X Factor on saturday (I missed it because I was out with my girlfriends..Damn) but I saw it today and it makes me so happy! I don't know about anyone else, but as soon as I see that advert, I know that Christmas is definitely coming!
Okay, enough waffling!
I will post the link to each product underneath! Enjoy :)
So as you all know, it is now the month of November and Christmas is just around the corner! Woohoo, I absolutely L-O-V-E Christmas. It is by far my favourite holiday and I get so excited. Snow.Hot water bottles.Muppets Christmas Carol. The Grinch.Tinsel.
Oh the list is just endless of what I love about Christmas!
So I thought what better to way to prepare for the festive holiday, than a gift ideas post! I thought I would do ladies first, as it is just polite..& so much more exciting :)!
Like most others, I am a sucker for sitting at my laptop for hours watching youtube videos. I watch them more than I watch my t.v! I'm subscribed to quite a few channels so I am just going to list the youtubers who's videos I have to stop what I'm doing just to watch.
I will list all their youtube channel links & blog links underneath so you can check them all out.
1. Vivianna Does MakeUp
Vivianna has my kind of taste in makeup & skincare! She has gorgeous glossy hair & I would kill for the length of it. I am currently trying to grow mine, and get serious hair envy everytime I watch her videos. She also does amazing makeup tutorials, mainly natural looking makeup which I love!
Corrie a.k.a Dizzy Brunette does the most amazing haul videos. Everything she shows on her videos, I instantly want to own it. She has gorgeous taste in clothes and makeup. She has the whole cheryl cole hair thing going on. Big, Bouncy & Beautiful!
I'm sure everyone and their mother has heard of Tanya! She does the most amazing make up tutorials. Whether it be a celebrity, fancy dress (recently a halloween inspired look!) and everyday looks. I watch her videos religously!
This girl makes me laugh! She does completely crazy & random videos, for example the other day she did a video on different accents. She actually did very well! She also does hauls which I love to watch!
Everytime I watch one of Louise's videos, they instantly cheer me up! She does amazing hauls and she is, like me, a glossybox subscriber and each month, shows you what she got in her box! What I love the most is that she uses videos, to answer real questions and dilemmas that other people may face in everyday life.
Favourite Fall lip product? As far as lipcare goes, I am loving my combination of Lush bubblegum lip scrub and good ol' vaseline. I apply it every night before I go to bed and wake up with my lips lovely and soft! I then apply vaseline throughout the day, to keep my lips nourished! As far as colour, my favourite lipstick at the moment is the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in the shade 'Raspberry Pie'. It is my favourite lipstick at the moment. It is a lovely deep raspberry colour and it leaves my lips feeling lovely and hydrated!
Favourite Fall nail varnish? I'm loving Rimmels 60 second varnish in 'Grey Matters' which is lovely slate grey colour! It looks really lovely on nails at this time of year. Add a few touches of glitter nail varnish over the top and voila! Lovely!
Favouite Starbucks Fall drink? I'm really not a coffee or tea drinker (shocking I know), although I do love a trip to starbucks and without fail, my favourite is Caramel Hot Chocolate! YUM. I have it without cream but with a flake. Because I'm a child at heart you see :) It can get quite sickly after a while, but it's just too good to stop drinking.
Favourite Fall candle? The past few months I have gone crazy for candles, and whenever I go into a shop that sells them, I have to buy atleast one! I think they make my bedroom feel more homely and cosy. I'm not really a lover of all the christmas candles they have around at the minute as I don't really like the 'spiced' christmasy smell. My most recent purchase was a candle from primark called 'Fairy Cupcake' and it was the name that originally drew me to it (such a cute name!) but then when I smelt it, I knew I had to have it. It smells like, when you are baking cupcakes, and you take them out of the oven the first time and the smell hits you. Vanilla goodness all in one candle!!
Favourite Fall scarf or accessory? Most definitely my primark wooly scarf (shown in the picture above). I've had it about 3-4 years, but it is definitely a must-wear in the colder months.
Haunted house, haunted hay-ride or haunted corn maze? I've never actually done any of these things, but i'd have to say i'm probably more likely to go to a haunted house. As the others sound like my worse horror nightmare.
Favourite Halloween movie? Without a doubt Hocus Pocus! I first watched the film when I saw a wee tot, and I still know it word-for-word, including the songs!
Favourite Halloween candy? I'm not much of a sweet/candy eater. But give me a big slab of toblerone, and i'll be anyones best friend!
What are you dressing up as for Halloween? I haven't really done Halloween this year, so didn't actually dress up as anything. Boring I know.
What is your favourite thing about Fall? Oh so many choices. The crunch of the crisp leaves or getting to wrap up in chunky knits and my snuggly ugg boots. I also love the atmosphere of everyone getting into the christmas spirit.
I hope you enjoyed this tag. If anyone of you decide to do it too, I'd love to see your answers. So feel free to leave your links :)
