Best of 2013: Bloggers

Tuesday, 31 December 2013

I love nothing more than catching up with my favourite bloggers and their goings on. I stalk them through twitter and especially instagram, and as soon as I see a new blog post has gone up I get a little bit too excited...

The following are my bloglovin' favourites!

Bonjour Luce is one of my latest blogging discoveries, but I instantly fell in love. Her gorgeous pictures and make up looks, make me seriously envious. Luce gives amazingly clear reviews on all different kinds of products, hair, makeup and skincare. Everything she reviews, I instantly want.

What Olivia Did is a blog i've been following for a while and i'm obsessed. She has the most amazing wardrobe and the locations where she takes her pictures are just...oof...incredible. So jealous.

Mariannan has the most lust worthy house ever. So simple yet stunning, her pictures are crystal clear and she has some serious fashion sense. She has recently travelled to New York and i'm not jealous, at all...not one little bit.

Nouvelle Daily & Gh0st Parties are two of my favourite blogs. Kate is incredible, running her blog, a youtube channel and an online magazine and fitting in everyday life! How?! I bow down to you.

I'd definitely recommend checking out these guys, from amazing beauty bloggers to lifestyle posts. There is something for everyone!

Catch Up.

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I've had a lot going on at work and at home, and unfortunately blogging had to take a back seat for a little while. I won't go into detail but I was recently assaulted on a Christmas night out, by someone who I work with and did consider a friend. I wasn't hurt badly, just quite shaken up and upset. With it being someone I worked with it caused quite a lot of stress at work, we had to have meetings with managers and what not. I just felt like I had a lot on my plate, also with Christmas coming up i've been feeling quite stressed. I suffered from a slight panic attack after the assault and it threw me completely off guard, luckily there was someone nearby to calm me down and take me away from the situation.

Everything has since been resolved and i'm in a much better place. I'm absolutely gutted that I didn't blog much over Christmas, as I had so many lovely festive posts planned.. I am now back in to the full swing of things, and have lots of exciting things coming up in the New Year. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas!

Lots of Love xxx

Christmas Gift Guide 2013//For Her | Over £25.00

Wednesday, 4 December 2013

If you saw my post on Monday, you will have seen my gift guide for her, for under £25.00. Now it's the turn of the more expensive products, for those with a bigger budget.

I am a huge fan of Bumble & Bumble, so when I noticed this gift set containing the Thickening Hairspray and Texture creme, I knew I had to feature it on my gift guide. I know it's on my Christmas list ;) I also love the name, 'The Tousled Two-Step'. | link | £27.00

For those of you who read my blog regularly, you will know how much I love Liz Earle. Especially the Cleanse & Polish. Inside the extremely festive packaging you will find a Cleanse & Polish, Instant Boost Skin Tonic, Skin Repair Moisturiser, Botanical Body Wash, Botanical Body Cream and two muslin cloths! Perfect gift for people who want to start a skincare routine, or try Liz Earle products. | link | £50.00

Who doesn't want a Nails Inc. Nail Polish Diary for Christmas?! You get 12 full sized polishes, worth £138.00, including the bestselling Kensington Caviar Top Coat, which I have used and it is amazing! I know I would love to receive this for Christmas. A nail varnish for each month of the year! | link | £42.00

I am a huge fan of Jo Malone, their perfumes and candles are just..amazing. In this lovely little Christmas cracker gift set you get a Tart-Juicy Blackberry & Bay Cologne, a Lime Basil & Mandarin Body & Hand Wash and a Grapefruit Body Creme. They all sound so delicious! | link | £30.00

Last but no means least, Nars Eye and Cheek Palette- At First Sight. I don't actually own a Nars palette, but I hear amazing things about all of them. This one contains a selection of eyeshadows, a blusher and a bronzer. This palette is right up my street as the eyeshadow colours are all quite neutral and easy to work with. I've also heard so many things about the 'Deep Throat' blush and 'Laguna' bronzer. This palette would be a great way to try the products without buying a full sized one. | link | £45.00

Have any of these products made it onto your Christmas list?

Christmas Gift Ideas 2013//For Her | Under £25.00

Monday, 2 December 2013

It's that time of year! December is finally here. I can't believe how quick this year has gone. I thought i'd kick of my first Christmas post with a good ol' gift guide. I'll be doing two guides each 'For Her, For Him, For Mum & For Dad' one will be for a budget of under £25.00, the second will be for over £25.00. First up is 'For Her' whether it be a hint to something you would like, or an idea for Aunties or Sisters. There's something for everyone.

I've tried a few things from the Umberto Giannini brand, and loved every single one of them. So when I spotted these 'kits' for Christmas, I knew I had to feature one in my gift guides. I chose the 'Curl Friends Curl Define Hair Kit' | link | as I for one love bouncy, curly locks and priced at just £10, I think it's a complete bargain. Perfect for sisters, aunties or cousins.

I'm a sucker for Benefit packaging and all their products. I know my niece would love these 6 lipglosses! I think this would be a lovely present for someone just starting out with make up.| link | £19.50

Who doesn't love a good gift set from Soap & Glory for Christmas?! I am a massive fan of pretty much everything from the brand. For £10, you get a shower gel, body cream, body butter and a hand cream!| link |

How cool is this Ciate Chalkboard Manicure set?! For £25.00, it's at the top end of the budget but for someone who loves manicures and nail art, it's the perfect gift. | link |

Another gift for the nail lovers! I love this Butter London duo, and think the colours are perfect for the festive season.| link | £19.00

Would you like to receive any of these for Christmas, or know anyone that would?
